Do you believe in manifesting?

Manifesting

I did a poll recently:

Do you believe in manifesting?

I was surprised to see how many people DID believe in manifesting.

In MOST books I've listened to about growth, success (however you define it), and accomplishing goals, ONE idea seems to stay consistent:

Manifesting.

Visualising your future until it comes true.

There is a caveat though.

If you are constantly visualizing worse case scenario that's exactly what is going to happen.

The secret

Note: the idea of manifesting was first introduced to me from this book.

Manifesting does NOT mean life is smooth and perfect.

It means that while you face life's challenges - you recognize that there are lessons you can take away from every situation.

Someone who doesn't believe in manifesting will take a flat tire at face value - just a flat tire.

If you believe in manifesting you'll recognize that your success requires you to perform under pressure, take fast action, have the ability to move forward after small inconveniences, etc...

We have all met the person who embodies their problems.

They get a flat tire and it's ALL THEY TALK ABOUT all day.

They interject in every conversation and can't let it go.

Then the other person doesn't even mention the flat. They forgot about it. It was just another hurdle in the day.

Even when bigger problems arise - they just get over them without much fuss.

My wonder is: out of the people who voted - which ones enjoy their life more?

Express gratitude the second you feel it

Isn't it nice to receive a message from someone you didn't even know was thinking about you?

Why do we go so long without expressing gratitude for those around us who have given us so much?

We all do it.

"Oh man I should really call (person)!"

"(person) would get a kick out of this, I should send it to them."

And then we just don't...

Why?

Imagine a world where did!

Let's try it!

The second I think about someone who has helped me along my journey - I pull out my phone and send them a message.

I'm trying to condition myself to do this more often.

As I write this a few people come to mind...so hold on - I'm going to text them.

If someone comes your mind, send them a text as well.

...

...

Okay done!

It makes me feel connected and I know I appreciate it - so why not spread the gratitude.

Looking for the deeper meaning in every situation

I am a big believer in deeper meanings. Even to the most mundane things in life.

"Why are all the lights red on my way to jiu jitsu?"

Does this mean I need to slow down, look at what's going on in my life, and not be in such a hurry?

Spills entire cup of coffee

My patients is really being tested today, have I not been giving enough time to those around me?

The same goes for less trivial things as well!

Gets sick or injured.

Rather than looking at sickness in a negative light I try to think of it as a transformation. I am shedding and I'll come out the other side a beautiful butterfly. lol

What chapter is being closed? Why is it so important that I rest and recover now.

Gets injured

Welp my time must be needed somewhere else that will be pertinent for my growth. I better focus in and see what that is.

EVEN if it's all mumbo jumbo this search for deeper meaning gives me the ability to preserve.

Do you search for deeper meaning or just take things at face value?

Mr. Beast is a beast

Mr. Beast says something along the lines of: "When things get hard that's when most people quit, which means if you push through - you can do what no one else has done."

He also talks about how growth is always the goal, and obsessing over details makes the difference.

This sentiment has driven me the last few days.

When I was in school - learning and growing was normal. You kind of had no choice. The same goes for when I was working for someone else.

Now, no one in my life is sitting here pushing me to be better, to learn, to try new things - it's all up to me.

So I can sit here and settle for mediocrity. Or I can decide to grow.

Misc.
